In the spirit of open collaboration, we have agreed to work together. There are over 300 pieces on the site: audio, animations, digital images, visual poetry and texts. R3/\/\1X\/\/0RX can be viewed as an online journal of digital art and writing - alive, interactive, and media rich. All media here is freely given and is sometimes used to promote R3/\/\1X\/\/0RX through festival, conference, online or other non-commercial presentations. There is one administrator, a handful of editors and several authors. The administrator does not want to administrate. The editors rarely edit.
Where possible each new piece is remixed, literally or conceptually, from others on the site and linked to the appropriate page(s). Source material is made available. New work is often posted because R3/\/\1X\/\/0RX obviously needs to be fed. This is not a place to promote ourselves and remixers come and go. We are always open to new players, but this is not a training ground, you should be media savvy and experienced with online publishing software. If you would like to join, please contact an active member and provide a link to your online work. Due to the ridiculous amount of spam floating around, you have to login to comment. The guest login username is guest; password is remixguest.
This is not a space for the discussion of relative values of art or media, and we try not to congratulate each other too often. In fact, many media works are strewn about in the comment areas. This is a space for discovery and exploration - we learn from each other. We keep dogma chained outside the gate. It is not a tame place, though, and artful innuendo is evident.
R3/\/\1X\/\/0RX uses open source WordPress software. Many thanks to the developers and open source community. My apologies to those who worked so hard to make the software compliant with standards - colouring between the lines has always been my weak suit. This is obviously a hack.
Since its inception in November 2006, R3/\/\1X\/\/0RX has been presented at IF07 (The New Screen), featured at JavaMuseum –> a+b=ba? and we dropped several pieces into the Digital Fringe. Three members of R3/\/\1X\/\/0RX have created a standalone flash movie and performed R3/\/\1X\/\/0RX live as part of a VJ event (See: The Devil's Rope Journal). R3/\/\1X\/\/0RX was also presented during an artist's talk at Alberta College of Art & Design (October 2007) and the VJ remix was used at a live event 28 Oct 2008 with the ACAD Laptop Ensemble. Christine Wilks presented R3/\/\1X\/\/0RX at the ePoetry 2009 festival in Barcelona and at the DRHA (Digital Resources in the Humanities and the Arts) 2008 conference. This blog is linked to from various media artists and groups on the web - we thank you all.

Maybe pick from a title below. Each page displays our tag cloud in the footer. The search bar also returns interesting results.
